Senior Superintendent – Concrete Midrise  

Design Group is working with a leading general contractor who has been in the local market for over thirty years building medium to large scale projects up to $100M, including a strong combination of concrete and woodframe residential, commercial, and institutional buildings. This successful team is looking to partner with the best and brightest in the industry who are interested in being a part of the company’s evolution to their next phase. With their impressive existing portfolio continuing to grow, they are looking to bring on an experienced Superintendent who is capable of leading concrete residential and institutional projects.  

Compensation: Competitive salary of $140,000 for the right candidate, plus a full compensation package including benefits, performance bonuses and incentives, RRSP, and more.  

Your Challenge:

You are an effective motivator with superior leadership and communication skills and are looking for your next challenge. As a Superintendent, you will have a leading role in the operations of site activities while managing the construction of a high-profile project. The primary responsibilities of this role will include organizing and coordinating all subcontractor activities and on-site co-ordination of manpower, equipment, and materials. The Superintendent is responsible for monitoring cost control, quantity reporting, forecasting, and productivity. Planning and implementing site logistics and advising senior management of potential problems, interferences or schedule difficulties while assisting in circumventing/resolving such conflicts is essential in this role. Working collaboratively with your team to develop project schedules, work with subcontactors, and providing mentorship is essential.

Your Background:

The successful Senior Superintendent we are seeking should possess a minimum of 10 years of experience in leadership roles successfully managing concrete residential and institutional projects over $50M in value. The ideal candidate will have worked with challenging stakeholders in deadline-driven environments, with the ability to foresee and overcome a multitude of challenges. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential as you will be responsible for leading a diverse team working with trades up to senior management for the successful completion of these projects.
