Senior Project Manager - Concrete Projects

Our client is a self performing real estate developer focused on large scale, design forward, commercial and residential communities. With nearly three decades of experience, they have created a unique culture within a niche set of individuals.

Now seeking a Senior Project Manager who will be responsible for managing a project and all organizational and administrative aspects including budgets and schedules for construction of projects throughout the entire Project Life Cycle to ensure the goals and objectives of construction are met.

If you are a Senior Project Manager who likes to take ownership of a project from start to finish, who is seeking to become a Director or Lead Project Manager in the near future, then this could be the role for you. The client is seeking for someone to come into their organisation and potentially become part of Senior Management but also be a part of their growing portfolio of various projects.

You will be reporting into the Senior Vice President and working closely with a team based in Downtown Vancouver.

This role will:

  • Systematically pre-plan the execution of the project to enable the work to be done in an efficient, coordinated and cost-effective manner
  • Develop contract scope of work
  • Provide leadership to all parties working on the site, displaying a high level of honesty and professionalism
  • Expedite the resolution of any problems or conflicts that arise in such a way that neither the schedule nor the level of quality for the project is compromised
  • Monitor the progress on-site and initiates any corrective action required to ensure that all major milestone activities are completed on schedule
  • Analyzes and manages the resources required for the execution of the work in the field
  • Advise the Sr. VP of anticipated problem areas, and initiates required corrective action
  • Maintains complete and accurate project records which can be used as a reliable historical record of activities and events on the project
  • Review and approve monthly payment draws and invoices

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of ten (10) years of relevant work experience as a construction project manager in high rise development
  • A minimum of three to five (3-5) years experience working on the start to finish of residential/commercial concrete high rise construction projects
  • A College Diploma specializing on construction management or project management an asset
  • Knowledge of MS Project or any other scheduling project is an asset
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong leadership and organization skills
