Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Review and process complex payroll, for multi-cycle payroll, including employees, self-employed and LTDs. Including significant allowances and per diems and expense report claims
  • Liaison with internal employees, temps/contractors and external sources
  • Respond to queries on contractor payroll
  • Investigate and resolve payroll issues with Contractor Payroll Manager
  • Ensure contractor/temp payroll is completed on time
  • Ensure contractor/temp payroll is accurate
  • Process contractor/temp stops and Record of Employments
  • Coordinate with invoicing for client set up
  • Process contractor/temp information changes (Revisions)
  • Oversee a team of administrators
  • Assist Contractor Payroll Manager in best practices in quality, efficiencies and excellent customer service

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in a similar role preferred processing full cycle payroll
  • Ability to work in a high volume, fast paced environment
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet
  • PCP designation preferred
  • Knowledge of federal and provincial payroll guidelines
  • Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and confidentiality
  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to collect and analyze information.
  • Organized, detailed oriented, able to prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Must be team oriented with the ability to take direction or work independently when required
  • Able to multitask efficiently
  • PowerPoint
  • Familiar with labor laws across the Canada with Multijurisdictional payroll processing
  • Post secondary diploma or degree in payroll, accounting, or a related business program
  • Bi-lingual in French (both written and spoken)
  • Change management
