Job Description

The Civil Supervisor is responsible to support the Site Manager on the project site. He is in charge of coordination, monitoring and support of Civil Work- and Electrical Work on-site. They coordinate and monitor the daily activities of assigned contractors to assure high standard of safety, security, environmental compliance and assuring uninterrupted service is delivered to customers in a timely and professional manner consistent with Company and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Identifies and coordinates all construction site participants and Sub Contractors on a day to day on site.
  • Supervises all construction work and reports back to the Site manager on site, and keeps the GPM also informed.
  • Supports Site Manager in administrative and reporting efforts.
  • Checks finished works according to scope of supply.
  • Will be responsible for overseeing assigned external contract work construction crews performing both maintenance and construction activities.
  • Coordinate the daily activities of assigned external contractors performing construction and maintenance work on site.
  • Monitor job progress, document crew activities and prepare reports.
  • Assure that high standards of safety, security and environmental compliance are consistently followed at assigned work locations.
  • Fully understand the assigned project scope and contract work authorization details. Interface with others on the project to ensure job commitments are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Document contract crew activities prepare and present periodic oral and written update reports and verify the accuracy of contractor invoicing.
  • Adhere to company operating procedures.

Requirements:

3-5+ Years' Experience Running Civil Construction crews including heavy machinery operators and laborers

  • 2yr (college level) Civil , GIS, Construction Certification
  • Experience with building and maintaining roads and basic infrastructure such as main ways and drainage, on remote sites
  • Experience upgrading brownfield sites to current safety standards and proper working conditions.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills

Working Conditions

  • This position has been identified as safety sensitive
  • 50-60 Hour work weeks with occasional weekend work
  • Non Local Hire would be 21 days on and 7 days off with a per diem
