Design Group is hiring a Regional Installations Manager for our client in Toronto. This role is responsible for leading and managing field operations within the assigned geographic area and has a strong focus on ensuring there is a strong team culture while also ensuring national accounts and local customer service goals are consistently met. This position provide leadership, strategic thinking, problem resolution, and staff management. The ideal candidate will have 7 years background in Commercial Security or a similar industry.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develops, defines, communicates and executes the regional install business plan in conjunction with the Operations Manager
  • Develops and leads regional leadership team and ensure connectivity between both sales and operational functions.
  • Provides strong coordination and support between sales, field and national account central operations functions to ensure smooth and consistent scoping and execution of projects
  • Takes ownership for driving, institutionalizing and sustaining profitable business practice within the branches ensuring field operations incorporate it in their work.
  • Ensures leadership has the tools, metrics and understanding of these resources to achieve staff effectiveness, inventory accuracy, customer service optimization, and productivity goals.
  • Provides strong leadership and direction on cost controls especially in areas of tech labour, sub-contractor labour, overtime and project scoping enforcement
  • Ensures the local team understands, enforces, communicates and is overall accountable to the EH&S safety program within the respective field operations teams.
  • Implements & maintains a standardized, highly responsive technician labor planning and staffing process to ensure goals, deadlines and revenue targets are met within his or her area.
  • Develops high performing operations teams, talent base and bench strength
  • Drives plans, training & metrics for improving team performance, individual performance and development plans as well as taking action to eliminate non-performers
  • Continually drives to improve department processes to improve customer quality and efficiency
  • Maintains company property and documentation in accordance with established policies, handles proprietary information in the prescribed manner, and adheres to and supports Securitas, and regional policies and procedures including all safety requirements.
  • Drives ongoing employee recognition for performance utilizing Reward & Recognition programs
  • Provides performance feedback to direct reports and sub-contractors. Ensures that annual, documented performance appraisals are completed and reviewed with all direct reports.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.


  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline.
  • PMP Certified preferred
  • 7+ years’ experience in related field. Advanced degree may offset less experience in some disciplines.
  • Experience in managing regional markets, branches and or small P&Ls
  • Four years of management experience, particularly in dispersed locations
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Strong strategic and tactical thinking and execution abilities
  • Experience managing labor spend as a percentage of revenue
  • Demonstrated aptitude for problem-solving with an ability to determine solutions for customers
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Initiative and proactive thinking
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to travel as needed
  • French speaking is an asset
