Project Manager – Midrise Construction

Design Group is working with a leading general contractor who has been in the local market for over thirty years building medium to large scale projects up to $100M, including a strong combination of concrete and woodframe residential, commercial, and institutional buildings. This successful team is looking to partner with the best and brightest in the industry who are interested in being a part of the company’s evolution to their next phase. With their impressive existing portfolio continuing to grow, they are looking to bring on an experienced Superintendent who is capable of leading concrete residential and institutional projects. 

Compensation: Competitive salary of $140,000 for the right candidate, plus a full compensation package including benefits, performance bonuses and incentives, RRSP, and more.  

Your Challenge:

As the project manager, you will be responsible for developing schedules and planning construction timelines for complete project scopes, including assisting on pre-construction planning and design, budgeting, and facilitating related permits. You have an ability to manage at all stages and levels of the project, including initial bid scopes, managing subcontractors and their contracts, maintaining project schedules, leading meetings and forecasting budgets. The Project Manager will also need to enforce high construction standards and QC, while controlling labor, material, equipment, and site expenses.

As an expert communicator, you are a professional in building and maintaining relationships with clients and vendors, and work effectively with all levels of your project team including other PMs, superintendents, assistants, and site staff.

Your Background:

The successful Project Manager will come from a background constructing concrete residential and institutional projects with at least 5-7 years of demonstrated success. The ideal candidate will be accustomed to managing large budgets over $50M. Communication and team-building is key for this role, and you will be able to prove your ability to analyze, problem solve, and recommend changes. You are tech-savvy and are accustomed to using different software and project management tools. PMP designation and education in project management is an asset.
