Project Manager

Design Group Staffing is currently seeking a Project Manager for our client, a construction contractor based out of Calgary, Alberta. 


  • Overseeing successful completion, and financial outcome of the project
  • Managing all project aspects so that the project is completed with quality and safety at the forefront, while meeting budget and schedule objectives. 
  • Overseeing contractual performance of all subcontractors to ensure compliance to scope, schedule and quality and communicate with the Architect, Owner and/or Construction Manager on all project issues, progress, budget, changes or modifications. 
  • Prepare for, organize, and run Owner's meetings on a regularly scheduled basis


  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Project Manager in a Construction environment
  • Must have previous commercial project experience
  • Experience in both base builds and tenant improvements would be ideal
  • Good understanding of all scopes of construction (civil, mechanical, electrical, etc)
  • Experience from pre-construction, construction, through to post construction
  • Previous estimating experience is considered an asset
  • University degree or diploma in engineering / building sciences or a related educational field is preferred
  • PMP certified is considered an asset
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and decision making abilities
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Ability to multi task and work in a team environment
  • Self-driven and proactive
