Project Manager – Construction

Design Group Vancouver has partnered with a self-performing developer looking to add a Project Manager to their quickly-growing team. This role will be focused on managing the construction of multifamily wood-frame projects. Our client works diligently to create exciting, high-end products throughout Metro Vancouver and places an emphasis on urban design through a detail-focused approach. The company works to develop an engaged team, focused on providing industry-leading service and workmanship.

Your Challenge:

As the project manager, you will be responsible for developing schedules and planning construction timelines for woodframe condo projects, including pre-construction planning and design, budgeting, and facilitating related permits. You have an ability to manage at all stages and levels of the project, including initial bid scopes, managing subcontractors and their contracts, maintaining project schedules, leading meetings and forecasting budgets. The Project Manager will also need to enforce high construction standards and QC, while controlling labor, material, equipment, and site expenses.

As an expert communicator, you are a professional in building and maintaining relationships with clients and vendors, and work effectively with all levels of your project team including other PMs, superintendents, assistants, and site staff.

Your Background:

The successful Project Manager will come from a background constructing multifamily woodframe projects with at least 5 years of demonstrated success. Communication and team-building is key for this role, and you will be able to prove your ability to analyze, problem solve, and recommend changes. You are tech-savvy and are accustomed to using different software and project management tools. PMP designation and education in project management is an asset.
