Talentcor Professional is recruiting a Project Manager for the development and delivery of projects on time and on budget for our client, a large publicly traded development organization located in Richmond Hill/Markham. This is a full time position for a Project Manager to join the real estate team. This position is responsible for the overall coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of development and construction projects ensuring consistency with agency strategy, commitments and goals. This person will plan, execute, and finalize projects according to strict deadlines within budget, including acquiring resources, supervising and coordinating the efforts of team members, and overseeing quality control throughout project execution.

Job responsibilities include:


  • Project pre-construction planning and project staging analysis
  • Liaising with designers and working on the design
  • Construction programming and methodology assessment
  • Managing contractor during construction phase and dealing with contract documentation/ administration, progress meetings and reporting on cost and programme
  • Manage project scope, time, cost, quality, risk and procurement to achieve project objectives
  • Preparing informative and structured reports
  • Managing and coordinating for tender submission assessment
  • Analyzing for procurement strategy to reduce the risks
  • Monitoring project Actual expenses vs. Budget expense

    Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor Degree in construction management, engineering, environmental design, architecture, or equivalent
  • Five (5) years in construction project management of which three (3) years should be experience in supervising/managing major commercial or residential projects.
  • Knowledge of architectural design and planning principles and procedures
  • Knowledge of budgeting, cost estimating, and fiscal management principals and procedures
  • Knowledge of the operating practices of construction, architectural, and building firms
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community
  • Key competencies: critical thinking and problem-solving skills, adaptability, decision-making, communication skills, delegation, teamwork, planning and organizing, influencing and leading, stress tolerance, negotiation, conflict management.
