Project Coordinator

Location – Barrie, ON

Client – A well-established company with over 30 years’ experience in creating award winning kitchens and bathrooms for clients in the GTA and cottage country.

Job Summary 

This position is responsible for safely, efficiently, and effectively responding to customer inquiries and, by creating and following procedures, process orders on time on a daily basis.  The Project Coordinator is directly accountable for following work orders, work instructions, scheduling trades people, creating and following procedures and policies; completing required paperwork and documentation, WSIB and ensuring that customer service activities meet required company quality standards and production schedules. 


  • Efficiently manage orders and proactively follow orders from generation and coordination of submittal package drawings through to project release and order entry to delivery to ensure a positive customer experience. Any problems that occur within that order are taken care of with a sense of urgency to satisfy the customer to the fullest.
  • Perform customer service positively and effectively demonstrates written and verbal communication skills to facilitate clear information.
  • Create and implement policy and procedures
  • Apply analytical and problem-solving skills, proactive service. Ability to identify and respond to problems in a timely manner and is able to do so with a sense of urgency.  Includes submitting claims and implementing post sale solutions.
  • Use organizational skills and time management.  Effectively prioritizes and maintains follow ups of orders.
  • Responds to emails and/or phone calls consistently within a timely mannner to provide the customer with the most accurate and up to date information.

Required Experience and Knowledge:

  • 3+ years’ experience in a similar role
  • Ability to read Autocad drawings
  • Post-Secondary Technologist/Design diploma or degree
  • Communication skills, written and verbal, to provide clear and concise information to the customer. 
  • Ability to work both independently and as a team player who can contribute to an inclusive environment. 
  • Organizational skills - plan time and work effort effectively.
  • Analytical and problem solving skills
  • Identifying critical situations and responding to them in a timely manner.
  • Using keen judgment and selecting solutions from team members before making critical decisions.
