Job Description

Design Group staffing is currently searching for an Instrument Maintenance Technician to work a long-term contract position in Port Moody, BC.  The primary responsibility is to Install and maintain instrument equipment in compliance with all rules and practices.  While supporting the operations as a Terminal Operator off-loading railcars.  

Contract Details

Start Date:  June2018

Potential Term:  1 YEAR +/-

Rotation/Shift:  3 days on / 3 days off- Days On:3, Days Off:3

General Experience & Qualifications

  • Minimum of grade 12 or an equivalent high school education, preferably enhanced by related technical school courses
  • Class 4 Power Engineering Certificate is preferred
  • Minimum 5+ years of maintaining Instruments and Controls in processing plant or offshore production plant
  • Familiar with regulations applicable to the operations of oil and gas facilities
  • OIMS systems, related manuals, and procedures
  • Meets the safety, administrative, and technical training requirements associated with this position as documented in the company operations-approved training roadmap
  • Possesses the general competencies and Operations Integrity Critical competency requirements as documented and maintained in company Operations Training roadmap

The individual chosen for this role will be professional, hardworking, achievement focused, analytical and organized.  Strong attention to detail, planning and excellent communication and interpersonal skills are a must.  Driver’s license is required.  Must be able to work in Canada without Company sponsorship.
