Supply Chain - Performance, Strategic Initiatives, Governance, Tools and Process Group Lead

Reporting to the Principal Supply-Chain Management, this position is leadership position accountable for overseeing a team of individual contributors that work on the governance, process, tools, performance reporting, and strategic initiatives to ensure SCM is able to achieve its objectives and drive business value. 

The teams/individuals performing these roles provide KPI and other spend/supplier reporting, evaluation of SCM tools, oversee the governance in SCM, advance SCM strategic initiatives, and maintain processes in the group. Activities include ensuring reliable reporting, identifying opportunities to improve process, performance and capability, and coordinating the requirements for SCM tools to enable strong performance across SCM.

This position will support the SCM teams achieving strong business results, and will work closely with IT, financial planning/analysis, Legal, and other business partners.

The ideal candidate possesses extensive cross-industry leadership experience in market segments where supply-chain is a strategic value driver to the enterprise financial results, working as an equal partner to technical and operational functions, preferably in a mature manufacturing environment.

Experience in the energy sector is an asset but not necessary. Strong track record, evidenced by quantitative achievements in implementing supply-chain best practices in data, analytics, governance, fit for purpose processes, leveraging technology, and strong tools (such as supplier portals, contract management applications etc.) are important.


  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
  • Post-secondary Business, Engineering, or Supply Chain background preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in governance, reporting, tools, KPIs, strategic initiatives, and identifying business process improvement opportunities and continuous improvement activities and methodologies
  • 5+ years of experience in leadership roles in progressive, fast-paced, changing environments
  • Cross industry leadership experience
  • Experience in cost evolution dashboards
  • Experience with Data Analytics and performance reporting
  • Experience with spend and supplier reporting
  • Exposure to various Data tools
  • Attention to detail with ability to follow tasks and ideas through to completion
  • Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and manage changes in direction and priorities
  • Ability to influence and work effectively with senior leaders and stakeholders at all levels
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently
  • Well organized with effective facilitation, communication and coordination skills
