Supply Chain Management - Well Delivery Group Lead

The Well Delivery Sourcing team, which is part of the Supply Chain Management (SCM) team, provides end to end sourcing and procurement for Well Delivery operations teams with an estimated annual portfolio of $500 MM.

Reporting to the Manager SCM Well Delivery. The Group Lead is responsible for applying standard processes for sourcing, qualifying and managing suppliers used throughout the end-to-end well delivery life cycle. The ideal candidate will possess strong experience and knowledge of well stimulation/pressure pumping market segment.

This position will drive the development and execution of sourcing strategies, contracting and procurement plans and other commercial initiatives focused on reducing total cost of ownership in close collaboration with internal business stakeholders and suppliers. The position will also play a leadership role within the Well Delivery sourcing team.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
  • 10-15 years of progressive strategic sourcing and procurement experience within assigned portfolio
  • Experience and knowledge of well stimulation/pressure pumping market segment
  • Academic Degree in Business Administration or equivalent. Alternatively an Engineering Degree combined with strong project sourcing experience or MBA would be considered
  • Progressive experience with all aspects of upstream oilfield services and materials sourcing including Drilling and Completions with experience in implementing alternate contracting models, low cost country sourcing and advanced sourcing levers value creation activities
  • Ability to lead complex negotiations. Previous responsibility for negotiations and supplier management through the development phase
  • Previous experience initiating and executing strategic sourcing processes
  • Previous experience leading teams and managing individual and team performance
  • Ability to negotiate skillfully in tough situations with both internal and external groups
  • Sourcing expertise with planning, assessing and implementing outsourcing and multi-sourcing delivery models
  • Category management and management of cross-functional sourcing teams
  • Strategic thinker but focused on delivery
  • Strong analytical skills. Able to solve problems through honest analysis coupled with good judgment; initiative and decision making abilities
  • Excellent presentation skills. Able to speak and write clearly and succinctly in a variety of communication settings and with different levels of stakeholders
  • Knowledgeable in current and possible future policies, practices, trends, technology and information affecting his/her business and organization 

Other Skills: 

  • Experience in business segment where Supply-chain management is mature is a strong asset
