Job Description

Our client in Burlington is the leading manufacturer of high end optical equipment used for industrial applications, and is seeking and Electronic Engineer to join their team. This position is most suited to an intermediate candidate who has had demonstrated experience with similar equipment, who has passion for what they do and sees it as being more than a job.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, evaluate, critique and de bug electronic circuits
  • Development of mixed-signal embedded systems for machine vision systems and high-dynamic range cameras
  • Employ a Microcontroller (FPGA/DSP) in the electronic design and write simple code
  • Complete PCB layout using OrCAD and schematic capture
  • Complete testing on the electronic circuit; develop simple test circuits to prove out the operation
  • Employ inputs and outputs to determine the correct functionality of the electronic circuit
  • Understands electronic test standards and knows how to employ Electronic design to overcome design issues or risks

Qualifications:

  • Graduate degree in Electronic Engineering, with preference to candidate who hold Master’s Degree
  • Demonstrated knowledge of schematic capture and PCB layout using a CAD tool such as Orcad or equivalent
  • Programming experience of a FPGA/DSP microcontroller
  • Effectively meeting deadlines, self-motivated and energetic with positive enthusiasm
  • Ability to calculate dimensions, capacities and qualities by applying mathematical formulas
  • Accuracy in recording product testing reports for customers and internally
  • Ability to effectively communicate with customers regarding technical information
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated experience with debugging tools
