Inteqna Toronto is recruiting for a Dev-Ops and Release Engineer.


  • Work as a Scrum team member to provide solutions to user stories (requirements) including automated test scenarios
  • Participate in understanding and grooming of user stories, create QA tasks, test cases, and functional automation
  • Log defects/issues and work with team members to ensure resolution
  • Participate in defect triage
  • Ability to promote a culture of collaboration and teamwork
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong commitment to build reliable solutions:
  • Build on Scrum disciplines to integrate IT operations with development
  • Put in place automation to increase team velocity and reduce time to deploy
  • Define platform and integration patterns
  • Drive application performance tuning
  • Take a lead role in incident triage and resolution


  • Experience or understanding of Agile software development methodology
  • Experience managing the QA process including manual and automation testing
  • Hands-on enterprise software QA engineering, analysis and testing experience
  • Passion for digging deep to resolve issues/defects
  • Experience in testing web applications and WebServices (REST API's) SOAP UI a plus
  • Experience with writing SQL queries
  • Strong understanding of defect tracking tools and processes
  • Familiar with unit testing frameworks (e.g., TestNG, JUnit, xUnit)
  • Knowledge of software development, design patterns and build/release processes
  • Min 3+ years of experience with software development lifecycle
  • Bachelor's degree in IT or a related discipline
  • Practical knowledge/experience with software development methodologies (e.g. Agile)
  • Ability to quickly assimilate new and complex technologies and concepts

    Total Compensation Package:

  • Salary in the 90K range
