Job Description

Design Group Staffing is currently looking for a Combustion Specialist for one of our clients in the Edmonton area.

We are looking for an experienced refining/ petro-chemical plant personnel to call on end-users to establish relationships, generate inquires and close orders for our clients’ combustion equipment and aftermarket products. This position will represent the company’s products and services to potential and existing end-user clients.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
 

  • Represent the company at all times with end-user/plant personnel
  • Understand, be responsive to, and fully support end-user/plant needs
  • Contact new and existing clients to promote products and services
  • Identify end-user facility maintenance shutdown/turnaround dates and offer products and services to support the shutdown/turnaround
  • Establish MSA's (Multi-Site Agreement) with strategic end-users to promote new product offerings
    Identify, negotiate with, and influence decision makers
  • Prepare weekly trip reports providing status of upcoming work with end-users/plants
  • Increase the productivity of manufacturer's reps through sales support and education
  • Assist with commissioning, startup, and trouble-shooting of equipment

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Preferred candidates must work well with others at various levels within an organization, demonstrate excellent customer service skills, work efficiently in our fast-paced environment, and be able to identify/influence decision makers through effective and persuasive negotiation. Previous experience working in a refining, petro-chemical, gas processing, LNG, or pharmaceutical plant is strongly preferred.


• Experience in plant Operations, Maintenance, Process, Environmental, or Shutdown
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or combination of work experience
• Knowledge of combustion equipment is preferred
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Problem solving ability
• Customer service/sales experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with Microsoft Office

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to go up and down stairs, climb vertical ladder cages, and meet confined space permit requirements. Must be able to communicate effectively. Must have physical stamina to stand eight (8) or more hours per day. Must possess sufficient visual acuity, depth perception, and color vision to accomplish job tasks. Must not present a risk of injury to self or others while engaged in company duties.
 

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
Domestic travel within an assigned territory is required. A company vehicle will be provided for work-related travel and candidate must possess a valid driver's license. The opportunity for international travel may also be available from time to time
