Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Assists in the mobilizing of the project – equipment choices, site layout and site set-up, including temporary power
  • Assists with field administration: preparing timesheets, verifying invoices, labour quantities, packing slips, purchase orders and updating daily job diaries
  • Monitoring cost control and job costing, quantity reporting, forecasting, productivity
  • Reviewing and implementation of changes
  • Recording As-Built conditions
  • Provides assistance to the Project Superintendent with on-site co-ordination of manpower, materials and equipment
  • Understanding contractual responsibilities, contract documents and resolving disputes
  • Assists the Project Superintendent in developing, monitoring and executing the project construction plan and schedule
  • Participates in project close-out: responsible for final inspections, deficiencies, warranty work and site demobilization

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Construction related position
  • Knowledgeable in building and construction
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Able to read and thoroughly understand project drawings and specifications.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook etc.)

Working Conditions:

This is a site-based position which may involve flexible hours, working outdoors and occasional traveling.
