Job Description

Lucas Professional Search Group is currently working with a company to find a qualified Accounting Specialist looking for part-time employment.

Responsibilities include:

- month-end closing process including journal entry preparation, general ledger account reconciliation

- bi-weekly payroll for 6 salaried employees

- support with Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable

- prepare and update fixed assets schedule with amortization

- project job costing and progress billing for construction industry

- prepare income statements and balance sheets

- prepare and complete variance reports

- reconciliation of bank statements on a monthly basis

- Government remittances

Qualifications include:

- Business Admin Diploma in Accounting or equivalent

- minimum 3 years' experience

- intermediate to advance knowledge in Excel

- construction and/or manufacturing experience

- excellent analytical and problem solving skills

- high attention to detail

- experience using SAGE

- experience with SAGE 300 and Jonas is an asset
